PR Newswire reports that Allied Van Lines just released their Magnet States Report for the year 2015. The big winner is Texas and coming in second is Florida. The report measures the number of inbound moves for each state. People generally move to where the economy is good, or they move to a location where there are good retirement communities.
Texas is not really known as a retirement state, so the moves there are most likely work related, specifically the oil boom. Florida is a mix. It is well known as a great retirement state, so each year plenty of people come to retire. But, the rating for Florida is helped by the trend to move away from the rust belt to the sun belt. That trend has been going on for a number of years and continues today.
Florida has the forth largest economy in the nation. It is home to over 19 million people and has four major metropolitan areas. Florida is busy and fun. There are many things here that make it a great place to be.
