Everyone wants to save money on a move. When people start to look around for a moving company, what they find is that most of them are very similar in rates. There is often not a whole lot of savings to be had between vendors, if you want to go with a reliable, proven moving company.

When you see these prices, you should have sirens going off in your head and read lights flashing before your eyes. The discrepancy in cost usual indicates a shady moving company. Shady moving companies are everywhere and they make up their costs with hidden fees, poor quality, or other unscrupulous practices.
There is, however, one sure fire way to save money on a move! Be packed and ready to go when the mover arrives. This may sound obvious, but you would be surprised how many people still are in the process of packing when the mover arrives. For us, this is the most common source of delays when moving and can add one or more hours to your bill. Don’t let this be you. Give yourself an extra day to pack. It will save you money and make the move less stressful.
