Moving News. Summer is the busy season for moving here in Tampa Bay. However, there are still plenty of people on the move in the winter. The weather is so great during the winter here, that I’m always surprised that summer is the busy season and winters are slow. I keep thinking that it should be the other way around. Winters are busy and summers are slow, like it is for the rest of the economy here in Tampa Bay.
Anyway, I thought that I would share some news from around the web. As we all know news tends to be bad. There are not many great news stories about moving companies, or maybe we would get on the news more often!

Possessions held for ransom! You co not need to be sailing off the coast of Somalia to be held hostage, or your furniture, for that matter. This one is common and keeps on happening. Once they get a hold of your furniture and then tell you the price has gone up significantly. This happens all the time whe making long moves, but less so for local moves. So, this brings us back to a common theme: get a mover you can trust. Make sure that the mover is licensed, insured, and has plenty of references and reviews, so that you can be sure that you are choosing a good moving company.
