If you can’t find a local moving company in Google search, stop right there. Don’t hire them. There are a number of local moving companies that advertise on Craig’s List and are nowhere to be found when searching for them on Google. That is not a sign of quality. The first sign of quality is being found where you are expected to be found. If the moving company is not on Google search, chances are that they are rent-a-drunks or some fly-by-night outfit not worthy of your consideration.
